How we handle your information

This notice is written in plain language for this website. It should still be reviewed against the Nigeria Data Protection Act and NDPR before treating it as finished legal advice.

Who we are

MaryPius Credit Limited, RC 9084509, operates a credit application platform from offices in Ezza South and Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria.

What we collect

For a loan application we collect: name, date of birth, phone, email if you give it, address, state, local government area, village or community, nationality, identification details (such as NIN), next of kin, two guarantors, employment and income, monthly expenses, existing debts, the loan you are asking for, business or farm and collateral descriptions where provided, and supporting documents you upload. Funding enquiries and investor expressions of interest are stored separately. Contact-form messages are stored separately. Field-visit notes and photos are stored with the application file.

We do not collect health information (smoking, drinking, medical history, HIV, and similar items that appear on the paper form) on this website, and we do not use health data in the website’s affordability calculation. We do not collect BVN in this first version.

Why we collect it

To identify you, estimate whether a loan is affordable, record guarantors and collateral, detect fraud, keep a record of the decision, contact you about the application, and meet record-keeping duties. MaryPius Credit Limited’s terms require files of approved and unapproved applications to be kept for at least five years.

Where it is stored

Application data is stored in a PostgreSQL database controlled by the company. Documents are stored as files on the application server in this version, with access limited to the backend. Confirm data-residency requirements with counsel before production use of customer data.

How long we keep it

At least five years for loan application files, as set out in the 2026 terms, and longer if lending or data-protection rules require it.

Who may access it

Staff with admin accounts (roles: administrator or reviewer) can see applications they are permitted to review. Access is logged. Database credentials are not available in the public website. We will not sell borrower lists.

Sharing with third parties

We do not share data with advertisers. There are no ads on this site. Later, if the company uses a credit bureau, identity service, or payment provider, that sharing will be described here before it happens. Hosting and backup providers may process data as processors under a contract.

Your requests

You may ask what data we hold, ask for a correction, or raise a complaint. Telephone or WhatsApp +234 812 407 1478 or +234 703 964 3501 or +234 808 226 7805, or write to either office address on the contact page. Production use also requires a path consistent with the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
