Show a regular source of income, or an existing private business or farm. Loans are not for start-ups except in special cases with strong, easily disposable collateral. Loans are not issued to companies or groups.
Two guarantors are required, with photographs and traceable proof that they could repay principal and interest if needed.
Existing loans, rent, and household costs are part of the assessment. An existing MaryPius loan must be paid off before a new one is considered. We will not knowingly offer credit that a borrower cannot reasonably repay.
Information must be accurate. False details are a reason to decline and may be recorded. Files are kept for at least five years.
Staff may visit home and business addresses and inspect collateral. Photographic proof of a business or farm may be requested.
